Latest information: special prosecutor appointed

Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey has been appointed as special prosecutor to represent the state of Alabama in the capital murder case against William Jody Byrd.While we are saddened that Mr. Ransom and the fine team of people at the office of the Bibb County District Attorney won't be with us to see this case through to the end, we're very grateful to have Ms. Casey on board and look forward to working with her entire office. I work with a man that will tell you that Pamela Casey does not mess around. She prosecuted his brother-in-law for failure to pay child support. That man has been sitting in jail since February of this year.

According to my associate, Ms Casey is a force to be reckoned with. Once she sets her sights on you... look out! The word "pitbull" may have even been a way to describe her tenacity in seeking justice.
